DECORATION: The rim has an engraved continuous scroll motif with unique upper and lower scroll fill zones repeated four times around the vessel. The upper scroll fill zones have negative ovals with short engraved lines or spurs, while the lower fill zones have either triangular elements with hatched or excised corners, as well as single small engraved semi-circles, or a rectangular-shaped area with two excised negative backward S-shaped elements. The vessel body has diagonal brushing marks that extend to the vessel base. A white kaolin clay pigment has also been rubbed in the engraved lines.
