DECORATION: The rim has an engraved pendant triangle motif repeated three times around the vessel. The central element is an engraved diamond; each diamond has a smaller excised diamond within it, and that smaller diamond has a centrally placed dot. The upper and lower rows of engraved pendant triangles (which are, in non-classic form, either hatched or excised) also include hatched columns, columns of closely-spaced vertical engraved lines, and triangular excised areas. A white kaolin clay pigment has also been rubbed in the engraved lines.
