DECORATION: The rim has an engraved scroll and semi-circle motif repeated four times around the vessel. The central semi-circles are either plain or have a second and smaller semi-circle within them; one of these smaller semi-circles has a short vertical engraved line within it. The upper and lower scroll fill zones have negative ovals and negative bisected ovals defined by hatched and excised areas. A white kaolin clay pigment has also been rubbed in the engraved lines.
