DECORATION: The rim has an engraved scroll and circle motif repeated four times around the vessel. The central circles each have an equal-arm cross within them. Upper and lower scroll fill zones have cross-hatched or excised negative ovals or rectangular engraved areas. A white kaolin clay pigment has also been rubbed in the engraved lines.
