DECORATION: The rim has an engraved continuous scroll motif repeated four times around the vessel. The upper and lower scroll fill zones are large oblong to triangular-shaped areas filled with cross-hatched engraved lines. A white kaolin clay pigment has also been rubbed in the engraved lines.
