DECORATION: The rim panel has an engraved pendant triangle motif (Thurmond 1990) repeated four times around the vessel; the apex of the pendant triangles alternate between pointing towards the rim or pointing towards the vessel carination. The central elements in the motif are alternating engraved circles and diamonds, At the center of each element is a smaller circle with four excised rays or spurs jutting from it.
