DECORATION: The rim panel has an engraved horizontal diamond motif (Thurmond 1990) repeated six times around the vessel. There are three sets of horizontal diamonds within the motif, the innermost of which has excised corners, creating a negative oval within the diamond. The diamonds themselves are outlined by cross-hatched engraved triangles at the corners of each of the rectangular panels. The six panels are each separated by two vertical engraved lines on the rim. A white clay pigment has been rubbed in the engraved lines.
