DECORATION (INCLUDING MOTIF AND ELEMENTS WHEN APPARENT): The rim panel has two alternating engraved central elements (circles and diamonds) in horizontal scrolls that end in excised brackets. The central diamonds have a smaller central diamonds within them, while the central circle elements have negative circles with excised rays. Above and below the horizontal scrolls are a series of excised pendant triangles.

PIGMENT USE AND LOCATION ON VESSEL: white pigment in engraved lines; a mass of red clay pigment remains on the inside of the vessel.
