DECORATION (INCLUDING MOTIF AND ELEMENTS WHEN APPARENT): the rim panel has an engraved scroll motif repeated four times around the vessel. The scrolls end in hooked arms. The scroll motifs are divided by engraved brackets with interior excised pendant triangles, simulating the negative S element. The upper and lower scroll fill zones have single horizontal engraved lines that end in large open triangle elements.
