DECORATION (INCLUDING MOTIF AND ELEMENTS WHEN APPARENT): The upper rim panel is plain, but the lower rim panel has an engraved motif. The motif consists of a scroll with the central element comprised of a series of five or six ovals or semi-circles. The ovals or semi-circles were defined by a series of closely-spaced arcing lines and/or cross-hatched zones. The upper and lower scroll fill zones have within them either a series of closely-spaced hatched lines or closely-spaced sets of two diagonal lines.
