Description

From repository: Stone blade from Burial Pit 2, Gahagan Mound. Made of dark semitranslucent flint or quartzite. Slender, with keen tip, recurved edges to a base which is wider than midportion. Base is straight, no stem. Good flaking workmanship generally superior. Length 11.5 cm., width at base 3.2 cm., at mid-blade 2 cm., thickness 5 mm.

This biface is curated at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum in Shreveport, Louisiana.
