There are two widened and excised areas on each scroll arm, opposite the small central circle. The scroll arms on this vessel do not begin at upper and lower triangles, but from the lowermost horizontal engraved line on the upper rim panel. The upper and lower triangle elements, with hatched corners, and connected by a single curvilinear line, serve instead to divide the curvilinear scroll motifs. A white clay pigment has been rubbed in the engraved lines.
