DECORATION (INCLUDING MOTIF AND ELEMENTS WHEN APPARENT): The vessel has a black slip on interior and exterior surfaces. The lower rim panel is marked by a single horizontal engraved line; the upper rim panel is plain. The lower rim panel is divided into four areas by sets of two vertical engraved lines. Within each of these areas is a single horizontal engraved line and a single diagonal engraved line with either upward- or downward-pointing tick marks; the two lines begin from opposing vertical engraved lines and do not touch. The rim also has been notched from left to right on the rim.
