DECORATION (INCLUDING MOTIF AND ELEMENTS WHEN APPARENT): The rim and body of the carinated bowl have different engraved elements. The rim has engraved scrolls repeated four times around the vessel, and the scrolls are divided by either plain or with horizontal excised areas in bracket elements. The upper and lower scroll fill zones have horizontal or rectangular excised areas, and one scroll fill line has excised tick marks. The vessel body has a Taylor Engraved motif with vertical scroll elements that end in hooked arms; this is repeated four times around the body. These scroll-hooked arm elements are divided by brackets with central excised areas and triangular-shaped open or excised areas in the corners of the brackets. Underneath the brackets are open engraved circles where one line of the vertical scrolls originates.
