Abstract
Public school teachers and university faculty across the nation have accepted the charge to work collaboratively to improve instruction and thus learning opportunities for all children. These collaborative efforts may be especially important as the population of immigrant children continues to grow, requiring teachers to broaden their instructional approaches to meet the academic needs of children for whom English is a second language. What follows is a description of an action research project and our efforts to include Asian children from one elementary school in the decision, development, and evaluation of a hypermedia program.
