Description

One of the better preserved markers in Old Sabine Town Cemetery where several hundred people are buried - Ice storms, vandals, and timber trespass have destroyed or damaged many beautiful monuments - "This is truly "The Silent City of the Dead" - unattended and uncared for. Here the dead shall rise when Gabriel blows his trumpet." - Harry R. Wright - Sabine National Forest.
