Description
"Where's the water?" demand two attractive young visitors to the Forest Service's Sandy Creek Rec Area. "Coming soon, right out there", replies Forest Supervisor, Jack W. McElroy, on a tour of new recreation facilities on the shoreline of the McGee Bend Reservoir, to be filled in 1965. McElroy was accompanied by Mr. Belton Muller, Executive Secretary of the East Texas Tourist Association. Facilities already constructed are bath house (at left), picnic tables and shelters, boat ramp, etc - Angelina National Forest.
