Cheshire

Cheshire is a county in northwest England along the Welsh border. The rolling landscape includes kettle holes and other geological features unique to the local sandstone geology. The county's cathedral city is Chester, and its notable landmarks include prehistoric burial grounds at The Bridestones, several Iron Age hill forts, the Roman fortress and walls of Chester, and the Chester Cathedral. Historic sites in Cheshire include Arley Hall and Willington Hall, both designed by George Latham, and early seventeenth century brick buildings.
