DECORATION: The rim has two horizontal engraved lines and a third cross-hatched engraved zone that encloses a negative oval underneath the rim peak; each negative oval has a small tick mark or spur on it. The vessel body has upper and lower cross-hatched hooked arm scrolls that wrap around each other, but do not meet. Each hooked arm scroll originates from upper and lower body cross-hatched triangles. The hooked arm motif is repeated four times around the vessel body; they are separated by sets of upper and lower body cross-hatched triangles and a single connecting vertical engraved line. A white kaolin clay pigment has also been rubbed in the engraved lines.
