INTERIOR SURFACE TREATMENT: smoothed on the rim and body; burnished on the lip itself

DECORATION: The lower part of the rim has an engraved panel filled with a negative scroll repeated four times around the vessel. The negative scrolls are outlined by upper and lower cross-hatched engraved fill or background. Each scroll is divided from the other by sets of vertical excised brackets.
