Abstract

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF THE DETAIL IN DESIGN THROUGH THE DESIGNER, EVERY DESIGNER HAS THE ABILITY TO SHAPE EVERYDAY SURROUNDINGS AND PROVIDE A CERTAIN SETTING THROUGH THOSE DETAILS. I DESIGN TO INFLUENCE THE WAY PEOPLE USE SPACE BY CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE THAT IS ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE AND PROVOKES CONNECTIONS BETWEEN PEOPLE. I DESIGN TO MAKE PEOPLE FEEL SOMETHING, AND THAT DESIGN SHOULD HAVE SHAPE, FORM, FUNCTION, BALANCE AND RYTHM. I BELIEVE IN USING ECO-FRIENDLY MATERIALS, INTEGRATING RESOURCES LIKE THIS CAN BE ENVIRONMENTALLY AND ECONOMICALLY SUSTAINABLE.

Hi, My name is Ashria Hernandez, I am a senior at SFASU and will be graduating in May. My plans after graduation are to move back to Dallas a find a job there. I am from Waxahachie Tx born and raised. I am looking for a job that works in both residential or commercial and that is around the Dallas. I do not have a preference on commercial or residential because I love the art of design and I love being able to design any space and explore my options through design, whether it be a bathroom, kitchen or a high school or hospital. I want to be able to design a space that everyone will love and make an impact on their day, even if its a small detail, every detail counts.
