Abstract
My design philosophy is to create an area that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but functional. Whether this is residential or commercial, I want you to feel comfortable about your surroundings. I want you to be able to enjoy the environment around you and feel right at home. This can be with commercial design also. I do not want someone to feel as if they are in a hospital. White walls feel institutional. I want to design places that make you feel at ease and comfortable, even if it is a place you do not necessarily want to be, such as a hospital or nursing home.

My full name is Edward Pat Neal III, but I got stuck with a life-long nickname at birth of Trace (uno, dos, tres…) I go by that name but if I ever own my own business I’d like to go by Edward so that is why I chose to place Edward Neal on my show instead of Trace.
My goals vary. I have always enjoyed design and throughout the last four years I have found out so much more than I thought design was. With design, I would like to go into commercial or residential design. I also have a major interest in graphic design as well. In an ideal world, I’d like to become both an interior designer and a graphic designer. With the graphic design background, I’d like to tie in interior design by creating and designer wallpaper. I also wouldn’t mind doing other types of graphic design also, such as movie and video game posters.
