My name is Olivia Hooks and I am a senior at Stephen F Austin State University majoring in Interior Design. How did this interest in Interior Design develop? As a teenager I was fascinated by the room layouts in magazines like Southern Living, House Beautiful and others. I would take the pictures, cut out each piece and rearrange them the way I thought they should go. Many people thought that I would become a Graphic Designer but after taking an Interior Design class in high school I fell in love with the art of Interior Design. Participating in a summer work studio at the Art Institute of Houston further fueled my desire to become an Interior Designer.
