The primary mission of the Department of Geology is teaching of the highest quality at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Department, through its various programs, continually strives to provide students with the following: 1) The knowledge and skills necessary for life-long learning. 2) An understanding of the geological aspects of the world in which we live. 3) The ability to comprehend geological science and its benefits to our culture and future generations.
