Abstract
This study verified a basic ecological vocabulary essential to environmental education and measured the effect of Texas Environmental Education Advisory Committee {TEEAC) endorsed teacher in service programs on participants' ecological vocabulary. The study results may be used in the development and assessment of environmental interpretation programs.
