About the CRHR

The Center for Regional Heritage Research (CRHR) was established in 2007 at Stephen F. Austin State University to facilitate research into, and interpretation of, the natural and cultural history of East Texas. In support of this initiative faculty, staff, students, and representatives from across the region have established partnerships, have participated in CRHR sponsored projects, and have expanded the capacity of SFASU to conduct research in several vital fields, including historic preservation, archaeology, geography, heritage tourism, resource interpretation, and community development.

The CRHR is particularly active on Facebook and Twitter. There, you will find information pertaining to ongoing projects and local news as well.

Meet the CRHR staff, affiliated faculty and research fellows.
